“Creating access to mainstream opportunities”

Since opening in March 2007, Chadderton Court has had over 20, 000 ‘enquiry’ visits, developed a community volunteer programme which has worked with over 200 volunteers and has enabled 15 people to gain meaningful employment. We have also resourced and supported the development of 3 social enterprise initiatives, and through our Community Saturday opening, become firmly established as part of the local community.

CHADDERTON COURT OFFERS:

Dedicated Community meeting and activity space for socially excluded
Groups.

'Out of hours' venue and resources.

On site I.T. community facilities.

A volunteer run community internet café, open to the public.

Training room with interactive white board facilities.

A local community signposting service.

Information and support for individuals who have experienced mental health
problems regarding volunteering and employment.

Information/support for mental health service users to engage in community
based activities.

The development of community partnerships and networks.

Opportunities for community based social enterprise initiatives.

Involve BME partner organisations and groups in activities, to encourage
involvement in and ownership of, a social inclusion agenda.
