Creating access to mainstream opportunities

 


 

Since opening in March 2007, Chadderton Court has had over 20, 000  ‘enquiry’ visits, developed a community volunteer programme which has worked with over 200 volunteers and has enabled 15 people to gain meaningful employment. We have also resourced and supported the development of 3 social enterprise initiatives, and   through our Community Saturday opening, become firmly established as part of the local community.


CHADDERTON COURT OFFERS:

  •  Dedicated Community meeting and activity space for socially excluded
        Groups.
  • 'Out of hours' venue and resources.
  • On site I.T. community facilities.
  • A volunteer run community internet café, open to the public.
  • Training room with interactive white board facilities.
  • A local community  signposting service.
  • Information and support for individuals who have experienced  mental health
       problems regarding volunteering and employment.
  • Information/support for mental health service users to engage in community
       based activities.
  • The development of community partnerships and networks.
  • Opportunities for community based social enterprise initiatives.
  • Involve BME partner organisations and groups in activities, to encourage
       involvement in and ownership of, a social inclusion agenda.
  • Offer a permanent base for ’Connected’ arts projects.
  • Offer a range of vocational, training and volunteering opportunities.
