The Phoenix Centre is part of the
Penninecare Trust’s
Mental Health Day Services.
Situated near the town centre and provides a service for people who reside in the borough of Oldham who have long term enduring mental health problems and have received a full assessment of need.
The main aim of the service is to promote recovery and social inclusion by providing individual support to access community activities and to provide specific therapeutic groups that enable people to have control over their own wellbeing and make healthy lifestyle changes.
The Phoenix Centre provides an important role in facilitating a supportive and responsive service and is an essential stepping-stone for individuals to work towards a more independent lifestyle, decreasing social isolation and becoming involved in community facilities.
Referrals are accepted from GP’s and other agencies, addressed to: IAIS (Initial Assessment Team) The Beeches, for assessment at The Phoenix Centre. All other referrals are directly accepted from within secondary services.
