If you have been assessed at Level 3 then a Level 1 group/organisation will not necessarily have the expertise available to be able to help you. If you are not sure please consult a professional.

Level 1 Interventions
These Interventions are suitable for anyone assessed at Level 1

These activities and sources of information are known to help people understand their illness and make them less threatening and disabling.  For all common mental health problems we know that there is evidence that making some changes in a person’s lifestyle can help. Exercise either walking or sport or attendance at a gym can have beneficial effects on people’s mood and symptoms. Likewise we also know that being involved in activities such as gardening, arts groups, support groups can beneficial. That is the reason for including some of these activities in the list.

 

Level 2 Interventions
These Interventions are suitable for anyone assessed at Level 2

These interventions help people to identify.

  • Causes of behaviour change
  • Self Help Interventions
  • Other useful Therapies like (CCBT)
  • That sometimes it may be necessary to be referred if self help is not working.

Level 3 Interventions
These Interventions are suitable for anyone assessed at Level 3

Face-to-face psychological therapies are recommended for some of the more severe symptoms.

Sometimes interventions help people over a longer period.

 

Level 4 Interventions
These Interventions are suitable for anyone assessed at Level 4

Help and support in a crisis when thinking has become altered by illness.
Interventions can help a person through that difficult patch.
