This is a home visiting scheme working with families with a child aged 8 and under. Trained volunteers develop a relationship with the family where time is shared and an understanding is developed. They offer support, friendship and practical assistance. They reassure families that difficulties in bringing up children are not unusual and work towards increasing the confidence and independence of the family.
