The ‘Life in Oldham’ project is a group of volunteers who are looking at what there is available in Oldham that people could access to improve their mental health and wellbeing. This is not just about services but about everything else that people might get involved in to have a fulfilling life. This includes employment, education, volunteering, arts & culture, faith & cultural communities, family & neighbourhood, and sports & exercise.
As part of the project we had permission to go up to the top of the Civic Centre to take pictures of Oldham. These pictures are now b
eing shown below.
Thanks to Chris, our photographer, who risked life and limb standing on the edge of a precipitous drop to take some of the pictures! (Only kidding we had someone holding the ladder)
The Life in Oldham project is looking for
volunteers to help gather information about what is available and
accessible to the people of Oldham, that could improve their quality
of life.
(Physically, Mentally, Culturally or Spiritually)
Our group of volunteers have a meeting on the last Friday of every
month at the MIND office in Oldham.
We would like to hear from any one that would like to join our growing
band of volunteers.
